Effective 2 October 2026
In short: we aim for WCAG 2.1 AA, say where we fall short, and want to hear when something gets in your way.
1. Our aim
We want everyone to be able to read, submit, review and publish on Unisphere, including people who use a keyboard, screen reader or magnification. We work towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.
2. What we have done
- Pages are built to work with a keyboard, including file uploads, menus and confirmation dialogs.
- Form fields have labels, and errors are announced to screen readers.
- Statuses use words as well as colour.
- Pages work on small screens and with zoom, with a menu on phones.
- Irreversible actions ask you to confirm first.
3. Known limitations
- Articles and files are supplied by authors and journals, and some PDFs may not be fully accessible. Ask the journal for an accessible version.
- A few colours in the light theme are close to the minimum contrast; we are adjusting them.
4. Tell us about a problem
If something stops you using Unisphere, write to privacy@unisphere.com with the page and what happened. We aim to reply within five working days.
